Your role As a Civil / Structural Engineer , you will be responsible for designing, calculating, and specifying civil and structural solutions within industrial projects. You will work on both concrete and steel structures, translating functional requirements and design principles into safe, sustainable, and technically feasible solutions. You will operate in an industrial environment where structures are an integral part of process installations, equipment, and infrastructure. Depending on the project, you will work independently or as part of multidisciplinary teams alongside colleagues from disciplines such as Process, Mechanical, and E&I. Within projects, you will have a high degree of autonomy. You will take ownership of your scope, coordinate technically with clients and suppliers, and ensure that designs comply with applicable standards and constructability requirements. What will you be doing? • Design and calculate primarily concrete and also steel structures for industrial projects • Develop foundations, support structures, load-bearing structures, and civil works • Prepare and verify structural calculations using SCIA Engineer and Technosoft • Assess designs against Eurocodes and Dutch laws and regulations • Perform and document design verifications • Coordinate structural design principles within multidisciplinary project teams • Advise on structural feasibility, safety, and optimization • Prepare progress, quality, and cost reports • Contribute to the development and maintenance of discipline-specific (civil/structural) standards • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations (HSE) You will work with • SCIA Engineer • Technosoft • IDEA StatiCa • Microsoft Office 365 (Excel & Word are essential) Knowledge of Navisworks and document control processes will be further developed on the job. You will work for clients such as Qirion, Tata Steel, Evos, Cargill, AkzoNobel, and Exolum. What do our Vicomezen say about Vicoma?
