You will work closely with a tight-knit team of six crew members including Dutch-speaking officers. You will report directly to the captain and work closely with a technical superintendent and a technical purchaser. The current sailing and leave rotation in the sea towage service is 4 weeks on/4 weeks off in Europe and 6 weeks on/6 weeks off for assignments outside of Europe. Your profile - For ocean towage, you must hold at least an STCW 2010 Certificate of Competency as Chief Engineer (Unlimited), along with valid STCW certificates, a valid medical certificate, and a valid seaman's bookYou have experience in managing an engine room and have extensive technical knowledge. - You work well under pressure, are resourceful and have a hands-on mentality. - You are fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
