You will carry out preventive maintenance and repairs on the technical installations on board and keep the technical records up to date. You will work closely with a small, close-knit team of three crew members on board. In addition, you will also collaborate closely with the technical department in Terneuzen, including a Technical Superintendent and a Technical Purchaser. You will work on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation in the ports of Terneuzen, Ghent, Flushing and Antwerp. Your profile - You hold at least a Certificate of Competency as Second Engineer < 3000 kW sailing. - You have valid STCW certificates, a medical examination and a seaman's book. - You have solid technical knowledge and experience as a mechanical engineer on board a seagoing vessel. - You are resilient, solution-oriented and have a hands-on mentality. - You are fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
