You ensure that materials and services are available on time and at the best conditions. Many suppliers are already contracted, allowing you to quickly find the right parties within the system. But in practice, not everything is always in stock and there are regular ad hoc requests. This is when your creativity and network come into play. You interact with existing and new suppliers to find smart solutions and ensure that ships and shipyards can continue working without delay. You work closely with teams such as Technical Services, Superintendents, Yard Managers and Engineers to know exactly what is needed.
