About this job
You will contribute to the development of advanced battery solutions such as solid-state batteries and high-voltage lithium/sodium systems , helping to accelerate the global energy transition . The team operates at the intersection of research, engineering, and industrial application , working closely with both academic and industry partners.
In this role, you will be part of a multidisciplinary environment where experimentation, innovation, and real-world application come together.
Main responsibilities - Design and execute experiments to support the development of next-generation battery technologies - Develop and optimise manufacturing processes , including innovative approaches such as dry electrode coating - Set up, maintain, and improve laboratory equipment and test environments - Assemble and test coin cells and multi-layer pouch cells - Perform electrochemical, physical, and material analyses (e.g. EDX, cycling, EIS, SEM, XRF) - Develop and refine battery formation and conditioning protocols - Analyse results and translate findings into practical improvements and insights - Present results to internal teams and external partners - Contribute to innovation and intellectual property (IP) development
Requirements
Experience & expertise - Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. materials science, chemistry, physics, or engineering) - At least 2 years of experience in research & development settings in battery technology. - Hands-on experience with dry electrode coating , cell assembly , and electrochemical testing of coin and pouch batteries.
