Job description
We believe in a product range that is carefully selected, logically structured, and continuously optimized. As an Assortment Manager, you play a major role in this. Together with the team, you ensure that the assortment is strong in content and demonstrably contributes to customer satisfaction and commercial success. You are responsible for compiling, managing, and continuously improving the assortment based on data, market knowledge, and company policy. Through sharp analyses, you make well-founded decisions and translate insights into concrete actions. In addition, you will be responsible for:
•
Managing the entire process surrounding the introduction of new products, from internal coordination to successful rollout with customers
•
Initiating and executing assortment reviews and rationalizations to keep the assortment up to date, relevant, and profitable
•
Taking commercial responsibility for the assortment assigned to you
•
Acting as the subject matter expert on customer needs within your assortment categories and translating these into concrete assortment decisions
•
Independently carrying out analyses to support assortment-related decisions
•
Working together with external experts to further develop these new roles and structurally embed them within the organization
Job requirements
•
You are available 32 to 40 hours per week
•
Bachelor's degree level (HBO working and thinking level), preferably in a commercial field
•
At least 3 years of experience in assortment or category management, preferably within retail or wholesale
•
Experience with product development processes is a plus
•
Affinity with Asian cuisine is a plus
•
Good command of Dutch and English; German is a plus
•
Experience with BI analysis environments, ERP systems, PIM systems, e-commerce platforms, and inventory and planning systems such as SLIM Stock is a plus
