For our seed production department, we are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Greenhouse Team Leader. Will you join our team? What you will be doing In Oene, we have a 2-hectare greenhouse complex where we grow organic seeds for a wide variety of vegetable crops. Additionally, a small portion of our breeding activities takes place here. We are looking for an Assistant Greenhouse Team Leader who will share responsibility for the smooth operation of the greenhouse crops. You will do this together with the Team Leader, a number of year-round permanent colleagues, and a group of seasonal workers in the summer. It is your mission to translate plans into practical results for the Seed Production and Breeding teams. • Responsible for the daily management of (temporary) colleagues • Co-responsible for practical results in the greenhouse • Co-responsible for regulating the greenhouse climate • Supporting the creation of schedules and planning • Implementing biological pest control • Responsible for compliance with the hygiene protocol and other quality assurance guidelines • Willingness to work weekend shifts • Reporting to the Greenhouse Team Leader • Serving as the backup for the Team Leader Greenhouse craftsmanship: the power behind organic agriculture About you You have a passion for organic cultivation and want to work with us towards healthy, future-proof agriculture. You have some experience in (organic) greenhouse horticulture and are curious to learn from our expertise. In your role, you understand the different cultivation objectives-seed production and breeding-and you safeguard these together with your colleagues. You work closely with Production Specialists, Cultivation Managers, Breeders, and (temporary) staff to turn plans into results. Additionally, you are the backup for the Team Leader in their absence. You take on technical tasks independently and are comfortable operating tractors and machinery.
