APPLICATIONS ENGINEER EDUCATION TEAM GERMAN Over deze vacature Job description This is a technical support position within the Sales Department. The primary responsibilities of this position revolve around manning the companies Hot Line and as such the position requires an individual to perform both technical / engineering and sales / customer service related tasks. In addition a number of other responsibilities may be required. The Applications Engineer must be a top-notch technical expert on related electronic products and applications. He or she must also be a salesman, a presenter and an advisor. The position requires some travel. General responsibilities Technical / Engineering related • Provide new product ideas and changes to future products. • In house product testing for technical issues experienced infield. • Performing technical support over the telephone for products and related company products. • Trouble shooting technical problems with electronic systems over the phone. • Providing advanced replacement product for products that has failed "out of the box." • Thorough understanding of the product line, product functions, features and applications. • Developing a working knowledge of competitive products and related technologies. • Learning new products and related technologies quickly and thoroughly. • Preparation of training material and other technical literature. • Dispensing general information on company products and other topics related to the use of product and in short providing dealers and end users with an electronic technical expert. • Maintaining a complete set of user guides and manuals in such a way that they are quickly and easily accessible for the individual AE. • Developing and constantly improving the level of technical knowledge the AE has of products and the related technologies and attaining certification on designated products, products lines, related technologies and test equipm...
