Want to help build a unique open-air film festival in Amsterdam and Utrecht this summer? Then read on. About Pluk de Nacht Pluk de Nacht is no ordinary film festival. It's a summer gathering place where film, art and good times come together under the stars. We screen distinctive films that rarely make it to Dutch cinemas: striking documentaries, animation, strong shorts and international features. But Pluk is more than film: visitors can enjoy drinks, games, art and food trucks all evening long. We also organise silent discos, live music and a children's programme on Sundays. We build the festival largely ourselves, both literally and figuratively, and that's exactly what makes Pluk so special. And that's where we could use your help. What will you be doing? As a production intern you'll be a full member of the production team, supporting both the preparations and the festival itself. In the run-up (June & July): • Helping to create production schedules and run sheets • Assisting with planning and production lists • Liaising with suppliers and partners • Contributing practical and creative solutions • Helping to prepare the festival sites in Amsterdam and Utrecht • Supporting volunteer recruitment and coordination • Contributing ideas for the side programme (art, music and parties) During build-up, the festival and breakdown (August & early September): • Assisting with day-to-day production on site • Joining in with the physical build (think: setting up the site, hauling gear, preparing technical equipment) • Helping to manage volunteers • Spotting and solving practical issues • Making sure everything runs smoothly during the evenings • Contributing creative ideas for decorating the festival grounds Who are we looking for? • You're available from mid-June through mid-September (with a focus on August) • You're organised and keep a clear overview • You're not afraid to get your hands dirty • You enjoy working outdoors (even when the weather doesn't cooperate) • You're flexible and available evenings and weekends • You enjoy working in a team but can also take on tasks independently • An affinity with film and festivals is a plus What do we offer? • A hands-on internship at the coolest open-air film festival in the Netherlands • Plenty of responsibility and room to gain real experience in festival production • Guidance from an experienced production team • An internship allowance • A summer full of films, new friends and great atmosphere Interested?
