Do you enjoy working with advanced equipment and taking full technical responsibility on board? Then this could be the role for you. THE POSITION As Second Engineer on our Water Injection Dredgers, you are the technical expert on board, ensuring dredging and propulsion systems run smoothly and reliably. As the only engineer, you carry full technical responsibility and work independently, supported by onshore specialists when needed. You maintain and optimize automated systems, keep them in top condition, perform maintenance and contribute to continuous improvements. You also ensure clear documentation and reporting, supporting reliable vessel performance wherever they operate. Water Injection Dredging is a specialised technique in which the seabed is fluidised, allowing sediment to be moved efficiently and precisely. YOUR IMPACT You make sure our vessel performs at its best every day while keeping people and the environment safe. You do this by taking responsibility for the following: - You lead maintenance, troubleshooting and improvement of the automated water injection system, from pumps to nozzles, ensuring optimal performance - You protect your team and the environment by strictly following safety procedures and regulations - You work closely with the crew to ensure every operation runs smoothly - You monitor operational data, provide clear reports and help identify and resolve issues YOUR WORKPLACE You work on board one of our highly automated water injection vessels.
